This Vacation offers so many “neat” things to do and see. New Orleans is still the fabulous “Big Easy” with all of the history and charm intact in the fabulous French Quarter, the site of our hotel.
You’ll enjoy four attractive cruise destinations and two days at sea. There are sightseeing, shopping, and sun-drenched beaches at all destinations.
All four ports of call were centers of the Mayan culture. Maya civilization began more than 2,000 years ago and reached its zenith between A.D. 300 and 900. At the time Europe was suffering through the Dark Ages, the Mayans enjoyed a creative blossoming more advanced than any of their contemporaries in the known world.
In Costa Maya, visit the Kohunlich Ruins; in Santos Tomás de Castilla, discover the mighty Acropolis of Quiriqua and Copán, the Paris of the ancient Mayan world; in Belize City, visit the ruins of Xunantunich and Marimba; in Cozumel you can take a ferry to the ruins of Tulum, spectacularly sited on sea cliffs.
Our ship, the Norwegian Spirit, will provide a fabulous variety of food and fun as we relax from our full days of shore activities and for our two days at sea.
