Tour Highlights

 

  • Spend a full day in Seattle, the Emerald City, one of America’s top tourist destinations.  You’ll visit the Space Needle and Pike Place Market.
  • Count on an unforgettable visit to Mt. Rainier National Park with a stopover at Mt. St. Helens Volcanic Monument visitor’s center.
  • Take a tour of  Portland, including Old Town, Chinatown and Nob Hill.  Enjoy a dinner cruise through the Columbia River Gorge.
  • Experience magnificent views of the Oregon Coastline, including Haystack Rock and many opportunities for viewing wildlife.
  • At the incredible National Oregon Trail Interpretive Center we’ll learn about life on this well preserved fragment of the Oregon Trail, learn about pioneer life, and see a recreation of an outdoor pioneer wagon encampment.
  • Hells Canyon is a part of the vast Snake River.  We will take a thrilling jet boat ride through big white water rapids and make stops at interesting historical sites, including Indian Petroglyph writings and the Kirkwood Historical Ranch Museum.
  • In Boise, Idaho’s capital, we’ll take a tour to see the most important sites, including the state capitol building.

The following is included as part of the Northwest Explorer rail tour:

  • Round trip transportation by rail and deluxe motor coach.
  • Private Roomette sleeping accommodations on the train for four nights.  (Bedrooms are available at an additional cost of $795 per person).
  • First class hotel accommodations for seven nights.
